Australian Travelling Gavel
Visits John Warren LodgeMasonic year 2000 was the occasion we were honored to be presented this gavel from visiting Brethren of Moosup Lodge in Connecticut. We continued its journey by presenting it to Charles A. Welch Lodge in Maynard.
This project is a rather daunting endeavor by Very Wor. Rick Howes (Past Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies), a member of Lodge Tuggerah Lakes No. 247 NSW Australia. There is now a web site available documenting the gavels and their travels. Visit it by clicking on the gavel picture or this link: The 12 Travelling Gavels. We were presented and passed on Gavel Number 10 (Tamworth).
The Tamworth Gavel journey is nearing completetion! View the most recent status update from V.W. Rick Howes.
